Five extreme environments will witness the most comprehensive ground truthing of our planet.
Ice is crucial for our very existence. It keeps the world at a temperature where life can exist.
Oceans are the most important factor in controlling carbon in the atmosphere. Absorption, storing and releasing green house gases.

Explorer and Founder. I have a passion for getting the very best from people - realising their potential - and believe that most people never get that far. That combined with my love for Mother Nature, makes me the animal I am. If I had my way I'd introduce everyone to the extremes - for I know what they can do for us all.
Operations Director - Digital Content Manager. I love inspiring people to achieve things they never thought possible! After 35 years operating in a mountain, expedition and rescue environment in the UK and Europe and training young people in expedition skills. I now enjoy enabling other people to reach their potential doing something purposeful and worthwhile in extreme environments.
Chief Scientific Adviser. I am CEO of Plymouth Marine Laboratory and extremely excited about the prospect of delivering responsible net zero research. To support a sustainable future for the Ocean we need to be in a position to monitor the changes which are happening. Ocean Warrior will be a very valuable addition to this pursuit and I’m looking forward to seeing how we can develop the project over the years ahead.
Director and Sailing Expedition Consultant. I blend my passion for adventure sailing with a long career in the tech industry and a love for the world’s oceans. With over 100,000 sea miles of sailing experience, I’ve completed what I describe as 2.75 circumnavigations of the globe, spending many months in the Southern Ocean both as part of a crew and alone. My unique blend of adventure sailing and corporate experience allows me to serve as an ideal Ocean Expedition Consultant for Ocean Warrior.
Director. With over 20 years of driving marketing and digital transformation for the world's biggest brands, I've connected businesses across the globe. With some time now freed up, I'm pursuing my passion for conservation, studying our planet, and understanding climate change. Currently studying to deepen my environmental knowledge alongside my day to day work, I'm a long time supporter of Global Warrior projects and delighted to be director. My journey is about more than exploration – it's about understanding, preserving, and celebrating the remarkable world we inhabit. Life, for me, is about connection – to mother nature and the planet we call home.
Director. Professionally, I am marine scientist with over 20 years of industry experience in oceanographic & hydrographic data processing& management, instrumentation development, design & integration, and more recently automated and un-crewed acquisition platforms. Personally, I am a climber/surfer/cyclist and general outdoor enthusiast with a taste for cold, high and remote places. Getting involved with Ocean Warrior is a great opportunity to leverage some of those professional lessons and experiences learnt to help the project achieve its critical goals.
Landscape Artist-in-Residence. I am an artist exploring the idea that the action of landscape painting can evoke an emotional response to unfamiliar or vulnerable landscapes. My previous large-scale public installations have garnered significant attention from audiences who encounter the artwork, engaging a wide demographic that might not usually connect with landscape painting. I am passionate about ensuring that future generations can connect the emotional benefits of creativity with the ability to foster empathy for landscapes and the natural world. The Melt.
Composer-in-Residence. My very first tune came to me through my bedroom window from the woods outside my house. I was 8 years old and this inspiration from nature for my creativity has continued to this day. When Jim and I met randomly in a pub on Dartmoor several years ago I soon realised that he also shared this deep passion and caring for our natural world. We both felt we'd met for a reason despite our very different backgrounds and we have gone on to collaborate giving talks about music and nature. I am delighted to be a part of Global Warrior. Farewell Ice
Sculptor-in-Resdience. It is a huge honour and a privilege to ally myself to this amazing endeavour. It gives me the opportunity to work with what I believe to be one of the most important research projects going on in the world at this challenged juncture in the evolution of this beleaguered planet. To sculpt the wonderful animals from this beloved area is an absolute pleasure and the fact that it is also an area woven into the Global Warrior initiative makes that even better.
Nick's Work
Media Director. I’d spent the first half of my career filming content for global yacht racing teams, events and sponsors. Filming extensively onboard initially, I also trained and equipped on board reporters to send back the stories that matter, from the farthest reaches of the planet, delivering the impact, insight and immediate information a world wide audience demanded from a race.
For the second half of my career, the race is far bigger.
I founded Positive Change Media CIC, using the power of storytelling through film to engage and inform an audience with facts and information, to empower, raise awareness and drive positive change and education in the natural environment.
Together, those two careers merge with Jims exceptional team. Ocean Warrior will change our understanding of the oceans. I’m looking forward to conveying that story to its global audience.
Creative Producer. I am an award-winning creative producer with a background in large production companies in London. I have produced films for some of the world's biggest brands, charities, and NGOs, working on projects across almost every continent. Recently, I received the coveted gold award in the Environmental and Sustainability Issues category at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards.
Partnering with Ocean Warrior to document their incredible work in film was a no brainer for me. I'm hugely passionate about exploration, the natural world, and storytelling. This collaboration is the perfect opportunity to bring those passions together whilst supporting an amazing and inspiring cause.
